NOT A BAD REVIEW
For “Blood Sisters”, I am sure there is a bad review or there are bad reviews but this is not one.
Released by EbonyLife Studios for Netflix on 5th of May 2022, “Blood Sisters” is already a hit. Since it’s release, Nigerians have been talking about it with all positives and it’s been on the list of Twitter trends for days now.
In “Blood Sisters”, we see the Edo duo, Nancy Isime and Ini Dima Okojie killing their roles and emboding their characters. Kate Henshaw deserves all the saluting in the world. Always a pleasure to watch. Deyemi Okanlawon: When does he ever fail? The chemistry between Gabriel Afolayan and Kehinde Bankole is everything! I need to erase that mirror scene from my mind though. Etim Effiong will always be Etim Effiong! Ramsey Nouah may have not said a total of fifty words throughout the movie, but his face did the whole talking.
The Good: Great acting. Beautiful plot and story. Great acting chemistry between the actors. I’m astounded at Gabriel and Kehinde, those two were hot. Beautiful costumes, make up and colours.
The Bad: Blade could have been less conspicuous as he was going to kill Kola, the role of Sarah’s mother played by Uche Jombo, whose acting skills are wonderful by the way, might have been played by a much more elderly woman. Her Igbo was also sounding off.
The Ugly: There is what I might call some inconsistencies and lapses with the story, like the good doctor and the lady with him. Were they accomplices? Also I don’t think there was a clear reason as to why Kola’s mother didn’t attend his funeral.
